Prairie Feed & Trucking LLC, previously known as Co-Products Plus LLC was founded in 2005 by Al Giese. Al has a 34 year career history with Land O’ Lakes Inc. and CHS Inc. (Cenex) and has extensive domestic and global management experience in feed commodities and crop inputs. PFT’s original objective was to provide marketing and logistic services to the emerging ethanol industries animal feed co-products in NW Iowa and SW Minnesota, focusing on cattle feedlots and dairies.
Over the years the company has grown and expanded serving several hundred feedlots, ranches and dairies in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming. The company manages a large fleet of trucks, has an office and admin staff in Milford, Iowa and a sales team in the field meeting customer’s commodity feed needs. The company works with ethanol companies, soy and other grain processors, and offers a wide array of very competitively priced ethanol, soy and other grain derived commodity feed products and trucking services to get products delivered throughout the six state marketing area.
The company also partners with grain marketing and nutritional professionals to assist livestock operations in achieving the best price available, least costing nutritionally balanced rations, and making prudent product contracting decisions.
